All my life, I thought the ornate building with the dome in the far distance was the Call Building, but I found out from a picture in the Chronicle that the Call Building is the one in the center of this photograph. It's that ugly brown and tan striped building, which bears no resemblance the pre-earthquake Call Building. (The 50's-era facade appears to have been inspired by a box of Cocoa Puffs.)
