Tony's family is from Carson City. Don't ever call Carson City a "cute little town." They don't like that.
Today I said "I like Carson City. It's a cute little town."
Tony said "It's the State Capitol!"
Like that's some big deal it's the state capitol.
Well, Saint Hildegaard on a ridearound mower, so is Bismark, North Dakota. You know what I mean?
Yeah, so we decided to go to Reno for the weekend to celebrate getting through all our adoption paperwork, and I said "Hey, let's take the long way around and stop in Carson City."
So we did. Stopped at Tony's Mom's favorite casino for lunch.
Had a great time.
Just, well, OK, not to get all negative on my vacation, but, take it from Big Daddy, if you're from San Francisco, and you find yourself in a 24-hour coffee shop that serves primarily senior citizens who came in on the casino bus, you probably do not want to order the salmon fettuccine.
Not to defame the casino gaming community or anything, but I swear it tasted like somebody poured a can of cream of mushroom soup over some Tender Vittles.
