showtime

well, it's off to houston this morning for a long overdue visit with my mom and then my 25-year high school reunion.

there's also going to be an "all class" reunion football game. alumni from my alma mater, spring branch senior high school, have challenged our rival high school from the other side of the tracks to a football game.

but there's a catch. our high school closed in 1983, so, in the interest of fairness, neither team will be allowed to field a player who graduated from high school within the past 20 years.

and our old high school drill team has been reconstituted and will be performing some of their trademark "kickline" moves.

i imagine the next morning there won't be a tube of ben gay left in all of houston.

and after the reunion, of course, i head for my computer conference in irvine, where i'm going to talk about the content manager i've developed. i have abandoned my idea for a superhero mascot spokesperson for this project. instead i'm going with the character at the top of the page.

what do you think? that's the scope creep fairy.
